An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Fundraiser for the Shrewsbury Town Foundation!
This is a great role for a parent or carer looking for a challenging and fulfilling role as hours can be fully flexible to suit school hours, term-time requirements or caring responsibilities . As with any fundraising role, however, there may be the requirement to work longer days or weekends depending on the events calendar.
You will oversee all fundraising programmes and initiatives within Shrewsbury Town Foundation to generate funds to support our programme of work. You will be responsible for building & maintaining relationships with key partners, developing and organising fundraising campaigns and events, and creating commercial opportunities that raise the awareness of Shrewsbury Town Foundation’s work.
We are looking for an individual who can commit to between 15 and 20 hours per week.
Requirements of the role;
• To create and manage a programme of fundraising events from conception to completion that engages existing and new supporters. This will include our Annual Gala Dinner, a Golf Day, at least one challenge event, a corporate partnership programme and other ad-hoc events opportunities.
• To establish good relationships with staff, volunteers, members of the public and the wider community.
• To work in conjunction with the Marketing & Communications team to ensure strategic marketing and communications plans are created to promote community fundraising activity effectively.
• When agreed with SLT, work alongside Shrewsbury Town FC operational departments to ensure a joined-up approach across the Foundation and the Football Club.
• Ensure delivery is high quality and value for money across all fundraising activity and measuring this through an ongoing monitoring system.
• Ensure that health and safety, equal opportunities, child protection and vulnerable adults safeguarding policies represent best practice and are adhered to in all aspects of the Charity activities.
• Reporting regularly on all fundraising events including commercial updates, delivery plans and potential opportunities/risks.
• Finding individuals to donate money, grow partnerships & take part in sponsored events, keeping touch with existing donors and stakeholders.
• There is a minimum expectation to raise three times the amount of annual costs associated to the role and there is scope for the hours to increase and the role/team to grow in line with successful fundraising initiatives.
