Our commitment

Shrewsbury Town Football Club Foundation, known as Shrewsbury Town Foundation, uses the power of football to improve health, education and opportunity for people across Shropshire. We want everyone in our community to be able to find out about our programmes, get involved and support our work, whatever their age, ability or the technology they use.

This statement applies to www.foundationstfc.co.uk. It explains how accessible the website is, what we know still needs improving, and how to contact us if you have a problem.

Using this website

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. You should be able to:

• zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
• use the website on a phone or tablet as well as a computer
• navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
• navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
• listen to most of the website using a screen reader
• change colours, contrast and fonts using your browser or device settings

How accessible this website is

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA, the recognised standard for accessible websites. We know some parts of the website are not yet fully accessible:

• some older news articles have images without a text description
• some videos, including those hosted on YouTube or Vimeo, may not have captions or transcripts
• some documents, such as PDFs, may not be fully accessible to screen reader users
• some services we link to, such as JustGiving for donations, are run by other organisations and have their own accessibility arrangements

We are working through these issues. When we add new content, we check that images have descriptions, headings are used properly and text has enough colour contrast.

Taking part in our programmes

Many of our sessions and programmes are designed to be inclusive, including disability and walking football (see Inclusion). If you or someone you support needs adjustments to take part in any of our activities, please get in touch before you attend and we will do our best to help.
