Our Foundation staff are taking on the challenge this April by running the London Landmarks Half Marathon!

On Sunday 7th April, our dedicated team are running 13.1 miles to raise vital funds for Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation. The team, comprising of Milly Wheeler, Tom Poole, Nicky Summers, Issie Terry, Andrew Price, and Dave Mitchell, are preparing to complete the challenge which will see them running through the heart of the city passing by some iconic landmarks.

Leading up to the event the team will be hard at work training for the big day, making the most of our open gym and fitness sessions. We will be sharing updates on their progress, so please keep an eye on social media and show your support!

The London Landmarks Half Marathon route showcases ‘The Grand. The Quirky. The Hidden.’ of central London. It is the only half marathon to go through both the City of London and Westminster and aims to raise £6.5 million for charity each year. It highlights the iconic landmarks of the capital such as Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral,Nelson’s Column, the Gherkin, the Shard, the Tower of London and the London Eye and it also unearths and promotes the hidden highlights of the city, with an emphasis on historical and cultural gems.

“We’re so excited to take part and support the work of the foundation. We know first hand how the money raised will make a difference, so please donate where you can!”
