Jamie Edwards

Chief Executive Officer

Jamie was a professional footballer for Bristol City Football Club, and played semi-professionally in Australia. He has been a UEFA B License coach since 2007 and founded and managed a sports coaching company from 2005 – 2007.

Before joining Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation, he was Community Manager at Hereford United FC Between 2007 – 2014.

Calvin Latham

Education & Employability Manager

Calvin joined the Foundation team back in 2018 as an NCS Coordinator, and has worked on over sixteen NCS programmes as well as taking part in NCS as a young person in 2012; he further went on to work in many charities working in employability and youth development, as well as completing his degree. Now the Education & Learning Project Manager, Calvin manages the National Citizen Service project, Premier League Kicks and our Alternative Provision. Calvin is also working alongside his Partner School Officers to expand our base of partner schools and develop the Shrewsbury Town School concept.

Managing a team that is motivated and enthusiastic about the work they do, which ultimately provides a first class service and experience for our young people.

Tom Poole

Health & Wellbeing Hub Manager

Tom has worked in the leisure and fitness industry for 20 years driven by his passion for sport and fitness, and have been lucky enough to turn this into a career. Through personal training and managing gyms, his work has taken him to working in Guernsey the Seychelles and Saudi Arabia. Tom finds the industry and roles he has worked in to be extremely rewarding and this motivates me everyday to help people and inspire people to be more healthy and move more.

His current role involves him managing the day to day operation of the health hub and health and wellbeing programme.

Adam Jones

Education & Employability Manager (Primary)

Adam joined Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation in September 2018 after working for Virtual Learning UK as an assistant curriculum leader and has experienced working within various different community projects for Hereford United in the Community and Herefordshire Football Association.

Adam graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BSc Hons in Science and Football and Cardiff University with a PGCE in Sport. Adam also holds a FA Level 3 Goalkeeping and Outfield Coaching Qualification.

Adam works within South Shropshire delivering on the Premier League Primary Stars and Advanced Development Centre as a lead coach for the U12 and goalkeeping coach.

Giving young children the tools and opportunities to reach their full potential through the provision of PE and seeing so many different personalities each day.

Simon Tisdale

Education & Employability Manager (Primary)

Simon has 12 years experience within Primary Education, delivering PE curriculum as well as other core subjects.

His current duties as Premier League Primary Stars Coordinator includes delivering quality assurance and PE CPD to teachers, as well as a range of impactful programmes within primary schools using the Premier League and Foundation values to engage and inspire pupils.

His qualifications include: Level 5 PE specialism, Higher level TA status, FA level 2 football and currently on course to complete level 5 business management.

Providing opportunities for children to discover and explore their interests and support them to achieve and succeed.

Jonny Hughes

Participation Manager

Jonny joined Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation in September 2019 after running his own sports coaching company in Shropshire for 7 years. Jonny is UEFA B qualified and has worked with academies at Shrewsbury Town and Stoke City Football Club. Jonny oversees projects that fall into the Primary age category such as school provision and holiday activities.

Seeing the impact we are making to the local communities and providing a positive learning environment for young people to achieve.

Peter Clarke

Youth Hub Manager

Active in sport all my life first playing rugby before switching to football, finally retiring from the pitch at the age of 44. Currently coaching at grass roots football level.

Started my career in Electronics becoming a Systems analyst, hardware and software engineer for 22 years. After taking in different cultures, living in Norway and France I returned to the UK to retrain. Initially working in a mental health background I switched to running a charity working with people on low incomes to reduce poverty. After 9 years of developing the charity and leaving it in very good hands it was time to put my experiences back in to enable others to achieve their goals.

Louiza Skinner

Youth Hub Coach

Louiza started her journey in Marketing and Events, aiding businesses in honing their products and building stronger connections with both employees and clients. Following this she worked with The House of Saint Barnabas, where she discovered a profound passion for mentoring individuals towards meaningful employment opportunities.

In Shropshire, Louiza began studying Midwifery working within palliative care providing support to women throughout their pregnancy journeys, including those grappling with pregnancy loss. Between her studies and family life, she found a passion for supporting local people finding their future career.

Stepping into the role of a Youth Hub Coach, Louiza brings her wealth of experience and empathy to the forefront, working closely with individuals to nurture their confidence, cultivate new skills, and empower them to make informed and positive life choices.

My favourite part of the job is the diversity of people I speak to each day. It’s a privilege to be able to support individuals onto their next step…whatever that may be!

Nicky Summers

Health & Wellbeing Coach

Nicky transitioned from ballet to weightlifting, HIIT, and Yoga in her 20s, leveraging her army career to maintain high physical standards. Over the past two decades, she gained extensive qualifications in weight training, functional and HIIT training, Yoga, exercise referral, and life coaching.

In her diverse career, Nicky has crafted effective health and fitness programmes, guiding clients to achieve strength, improved cardio health, mobility, and both weight loss and gain, and boost their body self-image and confidence. Nicky also leads large groups and classes, applying her expertise in various settings, including a decade as a learning mentor in a primary school. Here, she taught yoga to every child, initiated daily movement groups, and offered advice on healthy eating and lifestyle choices.

Supporting and educating participants to make positive long-term changes to health, mindset and lifestyle. I truly believe exercise and healthy eating is the best medicine that can help us heal, strengthen and overcome.

Chris Lloyd

Player Pathway Coordinator (South)

Graduated Manchester metropolitan university with an honours degree in Coaching and Sport development. Working on Manchester Schools Team and coaching and Crewe Alexandra Ladies before joining Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation in 2019.

Best Part of The Job:
Seeing people develop their sporting and social abilities whether that’s joining a PE session for first time or developing further in an ADC session, seeing the impact we have on children.

Reuben Dunne

Permanent Volunteer

Reuben Dunne started with us on NCS in 2017 and at the Gala Dinner that year he received an award for Participant of the Year and NCS graduate of the year.

Reuben is now working hard as a permanent volunteer at Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation!
