Alternative Provision

Help Your Local Community!

We want to provide opportunities to help individuals achieve their goals and realise their potential, but we can only do this with your support.

To support students who may not be suitable to take a conventional route through education and open to all students within Schools across Shropshire.

About the programme

The Alternative Provision will provide opportunities for young people who are disengaged with school and education or at risk of becoming NEET (not in Education, Employment or Training).

The Alternative Provision will provide young people with an inspirational environment in which they can gain work-based experience within a range of roles associated to the sporting sector and to a professional football club. The provision will provide an outlet for those students that are receiving other support within school, but still struggling within mainstream lessons. The placement will help to re-engage students in learning and develop the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary for employment.

We will deliver a programme that caters for a range of individual needs, abilities and interests. Our ‘Curriculum for Life’ sessions will deliver a wide range of workshops that will provide students with skills that they can take into ‘real life’ experiences.

What is Curriculum for Life?

Curriculum for Life will include, and not limited to; self-management skills, overcoming barriers, building resilience, money management, vocational life skills, employability skills and our sports leadership programme.

For more information about our alternative provision please contact our Education & Learning Project Manager for Secondary on [email protected]
