Get Involved This Easter!

Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation will be getting in the Easter spirit as they host their holiday activities next week!

Our coaches are gearing up for more action this Easter holiday! From soccer schools to the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme, the foundation aims to provide engaging opportunities for children across Shrewsbury and its surrounding areas.

Following the success of our February dates we will once again be hosting our Soccer Schools, which will be held in Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Much Wenlock and Bishop’s Castle. These sessions offer budding young footballers the chance to hone their skills, learn new techniques, and, most importantly, have fun in a supportive and inclusive environment. Led by experienced coaches from Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation, the sessions promise to be both educational and enjoyable for participants of all abilities.

In partnership with local authorities and organizations, we will also be running the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme in Shrewsbury, Ludlow, and Much Wenlock. This initiative aims to tackle holiday hunger and ensure that children have access to nutritious meals during the school break, as well as offering a range of engaging activities to keep them entertained and active.

The HAF Programme not only provides vital support for families in need but also fosters a sense of community spirit and togetherness. By bringing children together to enjoy shared experiences and meals, it helps combat social isolation and ensures that every child feels valued and included.

Calvin Latham, Education and Employability Manager, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming activities, saying, “We are delighted to be launching our Easter holiday programmes, which offer something for everyone in the community. Whether it’s improving football skills, making new friends, or enjoying nutritious meals together, we are committed to creating positive experiences that will enrich the lives of local children.”

The Easter holiday activities provided by Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation not only offer a welcome break from school routines but also contribute to the development of children in the area. By promoting physical activity, social interaction, and healthy eating habits, they play a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of confident, resilient, and well-rounded individuals.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children for the upcoming activities and take advantage of these fantastic opportunities for learning, growth, and fun. With the support of Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation, this Easter holiday is set to be one filled with excitement, laughter, and memorable experiences for children across Shrewsbury and its surrounding communities.
