Sophie's Kellogg's Football Camp Story!

2025 was a summer of football for Shrewsbury Town Foundation, as we welcomed 139 children to our Kellogg’s Football Camps. Among them was Sophie, who was eager to try football outside of school for the first time.

Through the Premier League Primary Stars programme, Sophie has already developed a love of sport and leadership skills at school. But this summer was different, it was her first holiday football camp.

“I’ve been to gymnastic camps, but never football. I joined this one because I wanted to play football during the summer,” Sophie explained.

Thanks to our partnership with Kellogg’s, the camps were free for children aged 5–11, giving parents extra support while keeping young ones active and entertained during the holidays.

Sophie threw herself into the sessions, enjoying the challenges and the new friendships she made.

“These clubs are fun, and I’ve enjoyed playing against boys in boys vs girls matches!” she said. “Coming to these sessions has made me a lot more confident in what I do, including football, and I’ve made a lot more friends.”

When asked if she’d like to attend future sessions, Sophie shared her enthusiasm and is keen to take part in more football. With so many new faces, plenty of children have had their introduction to football through Kellogg’s Football Camps and we hope that number only grows for future!
