Job Role:
Director of Throgmorton Associates Wealth Management Ltd- providing highly qualified Financial Planning Advice to individuals and business owners. Nick’s Practice (Nick Jones Wealth Planning) merged with Throgmorton Associates in April 2021 and he became a Director and Shareholder in the larger business.
Career Background:
Having coached football and general sports in Shropshire and the US whilst at University, Nick qualified as a teacher with a BEd Business Education in 1994. In 1996 he became a Financial Adviser and in 2004 he joined St. James’s Place.
Outside Work:
Nick has previously run the BUPA Great North Run, bungee jumped off the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough, completed the 2009 Flora London Marathon on behalf of the NSPCC and survived a solo parachute jump from 3,500 feet. He canoed 112 miles of the Thames as part of a team of colleagues from across the UK. More recently he hiked to the top of Mt Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa. The team of 45 from across the UK managed to raise in excess of £100,000 for the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation from this Moroccan adventure. He completed the Snowdon Challenge for Shrewsbury Town in the Community in 2016 and in 2019 completed the Virgin London Marathon for a second time, raising over £6,000 for the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.
