Before this summer, Ashley had never visited the Croud Meadow before let alone attended one of Shrewsbury Town Foundation’s Holiday Clubs.
However, thanks to Kellogg’s, which make the Football Camps free for children between aged 5-11, he spent the day with the Foundation for the summer Holiday Clubs.
Ashley admitted that he was apprehensive attending his first Holiday Club, saying: “I wasn’t quite sure what to expect and that made me a bit nervous.”
When he joined the group sessions and started working on his topic ‘creativity skills’, Ashley felt much happier and was able to interact more freely.
Throughout the day, Ashley showed his skills on the pitch as well as showing great values such as kindness, confidence and courage.
After enjoying a day full of fun, friend and football, Ashley said: “I feel happier and more confident now. I’m looking forward to coming back!”
We are proud to have welcomed 275 participants to our Kellogg’s Football Camps this summer, up from 139 this time last year.
