Charity Match raises £770.20!

Local businesses, Greenhous Shrewsbury and Salop Leisure, laced up their boots and took to The Croud Meadow to raise an incredible £770.20 for Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation!

On Friday, 3rd May, teams from both businesses were able to walk in the footsteps of club legends as they headed out onto the pitch at our home ground for a charity match to raise funds for the foundation. Both teams brought their a-game in a great display of football, all the while being cheered on by the crowd, ending with Salop Leisure’s squad taking the win.

In addition to the action on the pitch, attendees were able to take part in a raffle to win a number of vouchers including, a Love2stay voucher, Greenhous Service voucher and a signed STFC home shirt.

This week Charlotte Jones, from Greenhous, and Max Ball, from Salop Leisure, met with foundation mascot, Blue the lion, to present a cheque totalling an incredible £770.20 raised from the day.

“Both Greenhous and Salop Leisure have been long time supporters of the work that we do as a charity and we couldn’t be more grateful to them for raising such a fantastic amount with their charity match! Their donation will make a huge difference and will allow us to fund and deliver even more community projects.”
