Create Stronger Communities

Help Your Local Community!

We want to provide opportunities to help individuals achieve their goals and realise their potential, but we can only do this with your support.

In partnership, we support our local communities to become safer and stronger

By providing programmes where people can make new friends, socialise and get active, we want them to know that they are not alone and help to give them a brighter future.

How we help

We have invested £909,000 into our community facilities from 2020 to 2021, making a total investment of £1,166,286 since 2018.

During the Summer of 2021, our NCS participants contributed 12,480 hours of social action to help the local community.

We know how important it is to support the local community, which is why we’ve invested funds back into new facilities. Also through our NCS programme we have given back through social action activities.

What do we provide to help?

• We offer post 16 employment programmes that will equip young people with the skills and qualifications they need to successfully sustain employment.
• We offer a volunteer programme that will provide opportunities for 14 – 25 year olds to access industry specific work based learning.
• We offer post-16 education programmes through sport which will support progression to further education and employment.
• We support schools in inspiring young people by providing sports coaching, cross curricular teaching resources and stadium visits.

What’s next?

We are committed to further investment into our facilities as we continue to revitalise the Community Football Hub with the installation of an outdoor gym, in partnership with Beaverfit and DamStrong Gym, alongside a further £40,000 to improve the playing surfaces. Our National Citizen Service programme is also being reinvented and will see over 500 young people complete the life changing programme. Increased investment into female football will hopefully see Shrewsbury Town Football Club being trailblazers in Women’s football in Shropshire; inspiring 1000’s of females to play the game we all love.
