The Fred Davies Memorial Coracle Race will take place in Shrewsbury on Sunday, August 30.
Starting at 2pm, six heats will take place involving six competitors with the winners from those races going into a final to compete for the Fred Davies Memorial Cup.
Entries cost £25 per coracle and participants must be 12 or over to take part.
To see all the action, head over to the Abbey Gardens or the English Bridge.
Shrewsbury Men’s Shed are providing the coracles and paddles as well as throw lines and life vests.
They will also be offering refreshments to be purchased on the day.
The events aims at connecting young supporters with the club’s unique history and spreading the enjoyment and use of coracles, especially Shrewsbury-type coracles.
All proceeds from the day are being raised for Shrewsbury Town Foundation to fund the vital work being done in Shrewsbury and the wider community.
