The HAF Programme is back at Shrewsbury Town FC, where children eligible for free school meals can take part in fun activities and receive hot meals over the Summer holidays.

The Holiday, Activities and Food Programme is a government backed project that supports low income families over the school holidays by partnering with organisations to provide children with free activities and meals. Since 2021, Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation have welcomed local children to a variety of exciting sessions including multi sport activities and educational workshops, that aim to help them lead healthy and active lifestyles.

This Summer, we’ve welcomed over 140 children back to both our Shrewsbury and Ludlow sessions, and have introduced brand new sessions in Leominster to reach even more families. Since partnering with the programme, we’ve noticed an increased need to provide these resources for families in need which is why we continue to grow our offering throughout Shropshire.
