#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek

To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re highlighting the key staff and programmes that support the community with their mental health.

One of our aims at Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation is to help the community to live healthy and active lifestyles, this includes supporting people and their mental health. This is why we have dedicated Mental Health Coaches that deliver in schools to teach young people about techniques that can help them take care of their mental wellbeing and how to be supportive to others.

Our coaches, Daniel and Liam, deliver the TeamTalk programme which does just this. The programme is aimed at young people between the ages of 9 and 17 and covers key topics such as stress management and conflict resolution. Over the course of the six week programme students will be able to develop their skills and gain resources to support them both in and out of the classroom.
