Shrewsbury Town Foundation are delighted to announce that over £4,000 has been raised from the recent Sleep Out Under the Stars at the Croud Meadow.
The funds from the night have been raised for the Foundation in order to increase awareness and make a real difference in the community.
Roger groves, Shrewsbury Town’s Supporter Liaison Officer, hosted a tour around the Croud Meadow which saw the new 2026/27 kit displayed in the home dressing room.
The opening game of 2026 FIFA World Cup between Mexico and South Africa was also shown in the Bell Taylor Sovereign Suite.
The Mayor of Shrewsbury, Bernie Bentick, and Nathan Fowler were present to give speeches, not only give thanks to those who were there but explain what the event meant to them.
Our grateful thanks goes to Hickory’s and McDonald’s for providing dinner and breakfast respectively for our Sleep Out participants.
Ruth Pemberton, the Foundation’s Event & Fundraising Manager, said: “What I loved most about the Sleep Out to Help Out was seeing such a wonderful group of people come together – sharing a laugh, enjoying each other’s company, and supporting such an important cause.
“I’d like to extend my thanks to the Mayor for his inspiring speech and, of course, to the star of the show, Nathan Fowler, whose support and incredible speech made a lasting impact on everyone there.
“Most importantly, thank you to every single person who got involved. Events like this are only possible because of the generosity, kindness, and commitment of people like you.
“It was a fantastic evening, and I’m so grateful to everyone who attended, supported the event, and helped make it such a success.”
