PL Kicks

Help Your Local Community!

We want to provide opportunities to help individuals achieve their goals and realise their potential, but we can only do this with your support.

Why not attend our free PL Kicks sessions, for the opportunity to play football, engage in workshops and interact with new people!

About the programme

Our Premier League (PL) Kick’s project has been working within the local community. The project utilises the power of football and the value of sports participation to develop young people in some of the most high-need areas. Through engaging young people in constructive activities which include Football, Boxing, Dance and Personal Development workshops, it serves to reduce anti-social behaviour in the area it is delivered in. It also enables participants to find routes into education, training and employment with volunteering being a key component.

In Shrewsbury over 500 young people of varied ages have accessed PL Kicks activities enabling the programme to make a positive change in the local community and develop key stakeholder relationships with West Mercia Police and the Marches Academy Trust.

Anyone between the ages of 8-18 can turn up to any session for their age group and take part with no commitment needed!

Find out what some of our participants have had to say about PL Kicks:

“Since starting PL Kicks every Friday, I have something to look forward to every week instead of just being out on the streets. It’s great fun and a great learning experience with all my mates.” – Alex Grange

“I have something to do on a Friday evening, usually I would just be walking around the streets. It keeps a lot of the lads out of trouble. Through PL Kicks I have had a great experience of going to Anfield to watch Liverpool v Shrewsbury” – Reece Beckett.
