Premier League Primary Stars is a national programme which aims to use the national appeal of the Premier League and professional football to inspire children to learn, be active, and develop important life skills and help to upskill school staff in different areas of Physical Education delivery.

This programme has been carefully developed with teachers to use the power and popularity of football to motivate children and connect their learning to the world around them.

We provide schools with lessons and resources linked to the curriculum of Physical Education (P.E), Personal, Social and Health Education (PHSE), English, Maths, and Enterprise that will inspire children to reach their goals.

Through Premier League Primary stars, our community staff are on-hand to provide partner schools with support and upskilling sessions for Physical education. Along with this, there are options to take part in targeted interventions and lessons in PE, PSHE, Maths, and Literacy. Each delivery timetable is bespoke for each school based on their needs and desired outcomes. After-school and lunchtime extra-curricular activities at the school are also available as part of the programme to provide pupils with a wide range of sporting opportunities.

Competitions are also run through the programme, which range from national football tournaments such as the EFL Kids cup, which could potentially give the opportunity for teams to play at Wembley, to creative writing and reading challenges for reluctant readers. A recent competition has been Premier League Writing Stars – a poetry competition where pupils were asked to write poems on the theme of resilience.

Extras are also available for schools, with visits from Lenny the Lion and player visits along with fundraising opportunities and School of the Day match visits.
