We are nearing the end of the first week of summer Holiday Clubs and get ready to welcome people to the Shrewsbury Town Open Day, in what is a busy time for Shrewsbury Town Foundation.
We also have a number of brilliant events coming up that are in aid of the Foundation:
Dementia Disco
Date: First Saturday of every month
Time: 6-8pm
Venue: Smithy’s Bar at the Croud Meadow
It is a free disco for people living with dementia. Carers, family, friends and children are also welcome.
Those that attend will receive a free meal, tea and coffee.

Fred Davies Memorial Coracle Race
Date: Sunday, August 30
Time: 2pm
Venue: Head over to the Abbey Gardens or English Bridge
Price: £25 per coracle
Six heats will take place involving six competitors with the winners from those races going into a final to compete for the Fred Davies Memorial Cup.
The events aims at connecting young supporters with the club’s unique history and spreading the enjoyment and use of coracles, especially Shrewsbury-type coracles.
All proceeds from the day are being raised for Shrewsbury Town Foundation to fund the vital work being done in Shrewsbury and the wider community.

Neon Rave Run

The Neon Rave Run is coming to the Croud Meadow in September with your chance to run from one mile to 10k pitchside.
All proceeds from the day are being raised for Shrewsbury Town Foundation to fund the vital work being done in Shrewsbury and the wider community.

Networking Event
Date: Monday, September 14
Time: 9:30am-12pm
Venue: Smithy’s Bar at the Croud Meadow
Smithy’s Bar will be hosting a Charity Networking Event in September which includes three short presentations on the Power of Partnership, Marketing and Expanding Profile, and Volunteer Capacity.
The three mini-workshops will explore each topic, including sharing ideas and best practice.

Shrewsbury Town FC Charity Golf Day
Date: Tuesday, September 15
Time: 1:30pm
Venue: Arscott Gold Club
Price: £320 + VAT per team of three plus a STFC player/member of staff
Included in the price is a two-course meal as well as a Shrewsbury Town golf shirt.
