To celebrate Volunteers’ Week 2026, Shrewsbury Town Foundation are putting the spotlight on some of our brilliant volunteers.

Our Health and Wellbeing Hubs are built upon the values of inclusion, friendship, support, and community.

Central to the success of these sessions are our incredible volunteers, whose dedication, commitment, and compassion make a lasting difference to the lives of participants every week.

We would like to recognise and thank Dave Wynn, Graham Geary, Michael McCall, Keith Ward, and Mark Heath for the outstanding contribution they make to the Foundation and the wider local community.

Each volunteer plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, supportive, and positive environment where participants feel valued, respected, and encouraged.

Their friendly approach helps break down barriers, build confidence, and foster meaningful social connections among those attending our sessions.

Whether offering a listening ear, supporting activities, welcoming new participants, or simply providing companionship and encouragement, they consistently go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels part of the group.

The impact of their work extends far beyond the sessions themselves. Through their dedication, they help tackle social isolation, improve wellbeing, promote positive mental health, and strengthen community cohesion.

Their presence brings warmth, energy, and reassurance to participants, many of whom look forward to attending each week because of the relationships and support they have helped to create.

Dave, Graham, Michael, Keith, and Mark embody the values of Shrewsbury Town Foundation through their selfless commitment to helping others.

They generously give their time, experience, and enthusiasm to support people from across the community, making a genuine and lasting difference to countless lives.

The Foundation is incredibly grateful for their continued support and proud to have such passionate and dedicated individuals as part of our volunteer team.

Their contribution is invaluable, and the success of our Health and Wellbeing Hubs would not be possible without them.

Thank you, Dave, Graham, Michael, Keith, and Mark, for everything you do. Your commitment, kindness, and dedication help make our sessions a place where people can connect, thrive, and feel part of something special.
