To celebrate Volunteers’ Week 2026, Shrewsbury Town Foundation are putting the spotlight on some of our brilliant volunteers.
Our longest-serving volunteer, Reuben Dunne, has been with the Foundation now for over ten years.
He provides a helping hand wherever he can through the office, taking on a multitude of tasks.
Whether it be as office assistant, folding the kit, refilling the book stop or making coffees and teas, Reuben puts his all into everything.
Alongside his work with the Foundation, his pride and joy is his book shop located in Church Stretton.
The Foundation’s Campaign and Communications Manager Bethany Blackburn praised Reuben’s passion and dedication to his work.
She said: “Reuben is a confident and caring young man. He is a ray of sunshine and brightens up the office every time he is in it.
“I believe the world needs more volunteers like Reuben, who tackle every task with enthusiasm and leaves colleagues feeling inspired.
“I’m proud to work within an organisation that can give Reuben and others the opportunity to work as part of a team and make a positive difference.”
Shrewsbury Town Foundation wants to extend a massive thank you to all of our fantastic volunteers, who bring a smile or a helping hand to the local community using the power of the badge.
